Olli Klemola
Colonel Klemola has nearly 30 years’ experience in working with military systems. He began his career as a teacher at the School of Military Electronics, teaching radar and EW technology to NCO’s and conscripts. He has also worked as a project manager in radar and EW related procurement projects at FDF Defence Forces Materiel Establishment, today known as FDF Logistics Command. Col Klemola has many years of experience in military capability planning, mainly in the C4ISTAR framework. During 2013 – 2018 he worked as the Research Director of the Finnish Defence Research Agency (FDRA). Apart from C4ISTAR topics he has held key positions in the logistics field as well, such as having served as the Chief of Electronics Centre. Currently he works as Deputy Director of Joint Systems Centre, a unit within the FDF Logistics Command responsible for military systems procurement.
Col Klemola holds a Master’s and Licentiate’s Degrees in Electronics and Radio Engineering from the Helsinki University of Technology, as well as an eMBA degree from Aalto University.
